Activity: Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, transfer to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha. Meet your trekking guide for a briefing, gear check, and final preparations. Rest and acclimatize before the trek begins.
Activity: The trek begins at Umbwe Gate with a steep climb through dense rainforest. The trail is narrow and rugged, leading through towering trees and thick undergrowth. Arrive at Umbwe Cave Camp for dinner and rest.
Activity: The trail steepens as you ascend through the forest into the heath zone. As you gain altitude, the landscape opens up, offering stunning views of Kibo Peak. Arrive at Barranco Camp beneath the imposing Barranco Wall.
Activity: Start with an exhilarating climb up the Barranco Wall, followed by a trek through rocky terrain to Karanga Camp. After lunch, continue ascending through the alpine desert to Barafu Camp, where you’ll rest before the summit attempt.
Activity: The final ascent begins at midnight, trekking through ice and scree to Stella Point and onward to Uhuru Peak—the highest point in Africa. Witness a spectacular sunrise before descending to Mweka Camp for a well-earned rest.
